Storyline: A biopic on the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Thalaivi is an upcoming Indian multilingual biographical film about the life of J. Jayalalithaa, a politician, and film actress. She served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, with Kangana Ranaut playing the role of Jayalalithaa. The film is directed by A. L. The film opens with a scene where Jaya (Ranaut) enters the state’s political session where the current Chief Minister of the State (Nasser) presents the budget. Jaya interrupts him and wants to explain the corruption charges leveled against her apart from her phone lines being tapped. She demands his resignation. She defends MGR (Swami), stating he gave his life for the services of the common person. However, the opposition questions her relationship with MGR, resulting from a brawl at the session. There is an attempt to outrage the modesty of Jaya. Regarding the Mahabharata, Jaya says she was treated like the character “Draupadi” and would return to the session after becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
